File formats

JPEG is a well known all image format. They can set up to store  many images to a memory card. There are different levels of the quality low, medium, and high, if you have a photo that has good photo quality there will be less compression that will perform the original photograph. The pro’s of a JPEG is that you can contain many photo’s on a single memory card, a con of it is that there will be the loss of quality because of the image compression. TIFF is requested for publishers they usually are uncompressed. They offer the extensive post-processing, they are much bigger files and take a lot of space. If you want to get high quality files the best option is RAW professional photographers uses this format. DNG is like the main RAW format it keeps the images original. PNG are compressed in loss formats that contains all detail. GIF’s can have some animation in them but are limited with colors with poor choices of photo’s. BMP is used for printing while the images are high quality. PSD can manipulate the images on separate layers.
